Accounting Manager

The Role
As the Accounting Manager, you'll be the next critical hire in building a world-class accounting department, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting. You will be responsible for month-end close procedures, including but not limited to preparing schedules and entering journal entries into NetSuite, bi-monthly payroll reconciliations for multiple entities, accounts payable utilizing Ramp, monthly balance sheet account reconciliations using Numeric, and assisting with our annual audit. This role will also have exposure to ASC 606 revenue recognition, cost of care reporting, and tax and compliance. Your role will grow as the company grows resulting in responsibility for more complex accounting functions and presenting a great opportunity to own critical processes and learn at a high rate.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee accounts payable processes using Ramp, ensuring compliance with sales and use tax regulations, and managing the annual filing of 1099 forms.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements by gathering and analyzing relevant information, performing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and conducting flux analysis.
- Collaborate with People Operations to facilitate payroll processing and prepare payroll reconciliations.
- Support the annual audit by compiling documentation and preparing necessary schedules.
- Contribute to the development of departmental processes and procedures, implementing best practices to enhance the scalability of the accounting department.
- Assist in the documentation and implementation of revenue recognition policies for ASC 606.
- Provide support for special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
- Prior experience working in Public Accounting
- Experience with month end close processes and procedures in multi-entity accounting, including intercompany journal entries
- 2+ years NetSuite Experience
