The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the Accounting & HR Manager and personnel within the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, Payroll and Fleet departments. The Assistant will also perform certain administrative duties that will help the overall growth of the Company. Specific responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
Processing and posting all customer payments daily.
Handling bookkeeping and following accounting best practices.
Reviewing Customer Sales Invoices/Adjustments.
Formulating and maintaining accurate financial reports.
Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
Reconciling bank statements and financial discrepancies.
Assisting with payroll processing and tax filings.
Managing our fleet of vehicles daily.
Tracking fleet maintenance schedules and repairs.
Monitoring and updating fleet tracking system.
Supporting the manager in creating and maintaining Microsoft Excel documents.
Providing administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
Supporting the team with maintaining Time & Attendance and creating daily reports.
Filing, mailing, and other duties as needed.
This position is crossed trained with HR and Accounts Payable duties.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in a Similar Position.
Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent Computer Skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent Problem-Solving Skills.
Excellent Follow Through Skills.
Excellent Customer Service Skills.
