Overview
The Manager, Technical Accounting will support reporting, prepare financial statements, assist with complex transactions, develop controls, enhance forecasting, and coordinate audits.
This position will report to the Vice President of Finance.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the controllership with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
- Assisting with accounting analysis for complex transactions (e.g. acquisitions, financing, restructuring, compensation programs) under both IFRS and US GAAP .
- Preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP for audits, including preparation of note disclosure support.
- Assisting with development and implementation of controls and processes.
- Building out the forecasting function and preparation of forecasts of P&L .
- Collaborating directly with our external and internal auditors, consultants, operations and finance colleagues.
Qualifications & Requirements
- US CPA required
- University degree in accounting or equivalent work experience required
- Experience with a Big 4 (Deloitte, EY, PwC, KPMG) professional accounting firm preferred
- Experience with ERPs preferred (e.g. Workday)
