Responsibilities

Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.

Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.

Distributes accounting reports as directed.

May assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks as needed.

Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Manage and process employee expense reports

Assist with month-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations

Generate financial reports and assist with data analysis

Communicate with vendors and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues

Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records

Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred

2+ years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK CONDITIONS:

Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions

Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Stand or sit for prolonged periods of time

Repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
