Job Description
SUMMARY: The Accounting Manager oversees the daily operations of the company's financial department. This includes budgeting, managing assets, supervising staff and preparing reports. The position also supports the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Team during the annual audit. The ideal candidate for this position will monitor and analyze accounting data, making financial reports, forecasting finances and coordinating accounting staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
- Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

- Bachelors' Degree from an accredited college or university in accounting preferred OR coursework completed in accounting and willingness to complete an employer supported education completion plan for a related Bachelors within three (3) years
- Professional experience with bookkeeping and accounting required
- Ability to demonstrate fluency with formulas and pivot tables in Microsoft Excel
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite and web-based communication platforms
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Ability to achieve and maintain first aid and CPR certification
- Must pass a name-based and fingerprint criminal records background check
