Job Description
Title: Accounting Manager

Comp: $100k - $120k
Schedule: in-office 5x with some flexibility for occasional WFH
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an Accounting Manager to join them. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and internal controls. The successful candidate will also be responsible for audit support, tax compliance, team leadership, process improvement, and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of financial systems.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Help prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing insights into financial performance and variances
• Conduct thorough financial analysis including profitability, complex cash flow, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Support for audit inquiries by working with external teams
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax
• Be a mentor and team leader to accounting staff, helping create a more effective team and further their professional development
• Review existing accounting processes, make recommendations for improvement
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
Skills:
• Proficiency in ERP Solutions including migrations/implementations
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge of Auditing and Billing Functions
• Inventory, fixed assets and depreciation experience
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Costing
• Experience with Cash Reconciliations and High-Volume Invoicing
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor
• Manufacturing and inventory experience
• Proven knowledge of ERP Solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Understanding of GAAP
• Ability to manage and lead a team effectively and work across departments and teams
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions
