Job Summary: OPSPro specializes in providing small businesses and government contractors with compliance and operational support to include HR, Payroll, Accounting, Contracting, and IT. The Accounting Specialist handles day to day tasks that support the accounting cycle on behalf of our clients. This includes but is not limited to system updates, invoice creation and month end close activities.

  • Manage Accounts Payable (invoice entries, process payment and AP Aging monitoring).
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (timesheet monitoring, invoice creation, invoice submission to customers and AR Aging monitoring).
  • Month-end close processing which include balance sheet reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.
  • Assist teams in meeting financial deadlines for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings.
  • Enter payroll into accounting system and reconcile.
  • Update and manage accounting system (master data such as personnel, vendor records, work authorizations and project setup).
  • Review expense reports for FAR cost allocation compliance.
  • Manage client inboxes, maintaining high quality customer service standards and responsiveness.
  • Provide general accounting support as needed.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or a related field or commensurate years of
  • Intermediate understanding of
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel Skills (Pivots, VLOOKUP's).
  • Proficient with other Microsoft products (Teams, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint).
  • Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational, time management and prioritization
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential
  • Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications a plus:
  • Experience working with various accounting systems (Procas or Unanet a plus).
  • Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).
  • Government Invoicing Experience with T&M, FFP and CPFF Contracts.
  • Experience handling multiple clients, client communication and client interaction.
  • Experience with Invoicing portals such as: WAWF, PLSC, TOS, IOL, WOI and MyInvoice.
