JOB SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Assistant Financial Director, responsible for performing financial reporting, bookkeeping/accounting, and routine administrative activities in support of the Williamson County Auditor's Office.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Assistant Financial Director, responsible for performing financial reporting, bookkeeping/accounting, and routine administrative activities in support of the Williamson County Auditor's Office.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
- Applies basic accounting theory to process journal entries, reconciles general ledger accounts, and verifies accounting transactions for accuracy
- Assists with annual financial reports
- Maintains and updates title and registrations for all county vehicles; researches and resolves title issues
- Processes toll road invoices
- Enters weekly line-item transfers and budget amendments
- Participates in the county auction process: i.e., resolves sales tax questions, prepares vehicle title work, reviews and processes auction checks for proper correctness and codes checks for deposit
- Prepares and processes checks for deposits
- Assembles daily revenue packets and reviews account codes for accuracy
- Reviews Texas County & District Retirement System (TCDRS) reconciliations
- Compiles quarterly reports for the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) Grant
- Enters and reviews items on the Commissioner's Court agenda
- Gathers data and prepares statistical section for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
- Orders and maintains office supplies; monitors and maintains the supply budget
- Serves as back-up to Accounts Payable Specialist when needed
- Attends all meetings and trainings, as required
- Performs special duties as assigned

- Position involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, visual examination of documents, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, standing and occasional lifting/carrying

- Work outside of the normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) may be required
