What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a Accounting Manager who will be responsible for managing Accounts Payable, Billing, Inventory and Payroll. This role also serves as a consultant for managers within the organization, advising them of current budgetary information and working to create a fiscal strategy that aligns with the goals of the organization. Growth-wise, this position has the opportunity to be the successor to the company's Controller.
This is a hybrid role based out of Butler, PA. Some travel may be required depending on business needs and will be communicated in advance.

What You Will Do:
Monthly Reporting
- Work with Controller and direct reports to ensure journal entries and reports are completed in a timely manner and period close process is carried out according to period close schedule
- Inventory balancing, LIFO monitoring, and reporting on inventory cost changes throughout the month
- Complete reconciliations for assigned accounts
- Complete OneStream forms on time
- Provide support for LIFO reporting and Quarterly Sector Analytics
- Understanding of the general ledger and financials
- Drive process improvement and assign appropriate job duties to direct reports to maximize efficiency for back office and period close
- Work closely with the Accounts Payable Supervisor and Billing Supervisor to ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and customer billings
- Continuous staff development, work to identify productive workflow methods, suggest changes to accounting procedures, and conduct department cross-training
- Understand all team member responsibilities and the impact of transaction processing on the financials and to others within the organization
- Identify and rectify inventory cost errors. Develop standard operating procedures for inventory adjustments, cost adjustments and comply with Table of Authority
- Keep in close contact with the Inventory Control Manager to implement SOPs and to understand inventory variances
- Maintain accurate payroll process consistent with company standards and operating procedures
- Assist in preparation of budgets and monthly forecast
- Maintain good controls in your area of responsibility. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company SPI's, RCM, Table of Authorities and Segregation of Duties (SOD)
- Update accounting policies and Table of Authority as needed to maintain appropriate approvals and controls
- Understand SPI's, manage updates to SPI's and ensure compliance
- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years managing a team of individual contributors
- Prior work experience in manufacturing and/or distribution
- Key competencies required for this position are Financial Management, Performance Management, Ethical Conduct and Thoroughness
