Overview

To gain insightful and practical knowledge of day to day Controlling and FP&A activities that can be valuable at the start of a career in accounting.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or progression towards obtaining degree.
  • SAP experience a plus.
  • Computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Word, SAP experience a plus)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have an aptitude for solving problems.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills
  • Thorough proficiency of the various Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word,
  • Knowledge in a paperless automation process environment is a plus.
  • General personal protective equipment when in the manufacturing environment.
  • General office equipment.
  • Must effectively convey information both verbally and written.
  • Exemplify good relationship building with seasoned interpersonal skills in a diverse multicultural setting.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS: Fast paced corporate office environment working primarily inside. This position is local to our corporate headquarters in Itasca IL and would be eligible for our Hybrid work policy at manager

discretion. This position may also travel as needed. All Ajinomoto Travel policies will apply and must be followed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position will be performed primarily by sitting or standing at a desk and 90% of the time computer use will be required.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Accounts Payable Duties

• Executes and accurately completes in a timely manner the office's accounts payable cycle.

• Organizes, codes, vouchers, and pays the office's vendor invoices.

• Manages and coordinates the payment approval process with designated management.

• Runs xml and paper checks.

• Download historical canceled checks for record keeping.

• Adheres to all designated company policies, timetables, and deadlines.

Concur System

• Utilizes programs and adheres to policies, processes and reporting requirements surrounding travel related activities.

• Interacts professionally with the company's employees regarding expense report processing, approvals, and payments.

General Accounts Receivable Duties

• Support the cash application cycle by entering customer cash receipts received from lockbox checks, ACH transmissions or wire transfers for entire company within SAP.

• Support AR clean up and AR customer clearing.

J-Sox

• Support documentation management with updates to iGraphics process flow documents.

Credit Management

• Assist with ongoing credit review process.

Fixed Assets

• Assist with annual physical asset count and listing.

Month End Closing

• Posting various journal entries for accrual and benefits accounting.

• Support the issuance of monthly Debit Memos.

• Monthly analysis of G-Section expenses.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Other duties as assigned.


Salary Range

$20.60 - $25.00
