The Accounting Supervisor position is a supervisory position through which the incumbent is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the particular department to which assigned. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, as well as hands-on involvement related to department responsibilities and tasks.



Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of accounting clerks, including verification of timecards and payroll.
  • Record daily financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Assist with monthly financial statements, month-end P&L and quarter-end reports.
  • Verify and enter locations daily inventory (receiving, production, and deliveries).
  • Verify that transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Make Journal Entries.
  • Perform partial checks of the posting process.
  • Process accounts payable in a timely manner.
  • Research payables and payment statuses.
  • All other duties which may be assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or five to eight years related experience and/or training is required.
  • Ability to manage others and work independently to complete projects.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact efficiently with vendors, staff and management.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced setting and adapt to changing priorities in deadline-driven environment.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles/balance sheets/P&Ls.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Data entry skills along with an ability to analyze variances.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word), preferred.

USD $1,846.00 - USD $1,924.00 /Bi-Wkly
