This position is responsible for assisting the accounting department with outbound verification and/or A/R collections calls in accordance with all internal standard operating procedures. Depending upon individual skills/experience and business needs, the selected applicant(s) may be placed in either a "Billing Assistant/Rooming List Verification Specialist" or "A/R Collections Specialist" position with our growing and dynamic accounting department. This position will allow individuals to learn more about the hospitality and youth sports industry, whilst prioritizing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

General Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Track the status of each assigned account through the utilization and cross-referencing of internal systems.
  • Contact representatives to verify the accuracy of account information in support of the billing procedures.
  • Contact representatives to gather payment status updates and collect outstanding payments.
  • Maintain correspondence records, either via phone or email outreach.
  • Function in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Perform all daily duties as assigned by Supervisor(s).
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems as they arise and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, such as QuickBooks – Desktop.
  • Familiarity with basic bookkeeping procedures and financial transaction requirements.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must see in normal visual range, with or without correction.
  • Must hear in the normal audio range, with or without correction.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations and maintain strong mental acuity.
  • Must be able to adequately move around the office setting, with or without correction.

Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Fridays: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
40 hours/week (mandatory, in office position)
