Key responsibilities:
- Perform accounting services, including bank and general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, compile financial statements, create/maintain financial projections, etc.
- Prepare schedules needed for external auditors and tax return preparers.
- Assist with researching, implementing, training on new accounting software.
- Interview accounting personnel for permanent placement.
- Assist with managing, training, and developing staff.
- Manage a team of 5.
Key experience and skills
- Bachelors or masters degree in accounting.
- CPA License required.
- 5+ years of experience in audit or accounting services at mid-market CPA firm
- Experience working with privately held companies
- Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
- Daily access to a vehicle for commuting to and from offices and clients as needed.
