The key responsibilities of the Legal Secretaries will be assisting attorneys with case management, e-filing, document preparation, client communication, and general administrative support related to community association law, litigation, and other legal matters. Legal Secretary Responsibilities:
- A ssist attorneys with case management, including community association law and litigation matters such as foreclosures, violations, and other legal disputes
- E-file documents with state courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures
- Manage attorneys calendars by scheduling appointments, hearings, and deadlines
- Prepare legal documents such as demand letters, liens, and pleadings
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case progress, answer questions, and assist with administrative needs
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including preparing case summaries, legal memos, and correspondence
- Handle general office duties such as filing, copying, and organizing legal documents
- 1-5 years of litigation experience in civil litigation within community association law, foreclosure, insurance defense, personal injury, family law, commercial litigation, or other areas of law
- Ability to draft legal documents including pleadings
- Experience with e-filing in state courts and knowledge of filing requirements
- Community association law experience is a plus but not required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative while being a team player
- Proficiency with legal management software and Microsoft Office applications
