SECRETARIAL POSITION/CLERICAL I

RIVERSIDE MIDDLE SCHOOL

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To provide secretarial support to the assigned administrators and the department; establish and maintain records; coordinate and complete assigned projects; and compile and distribute various materials and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Graduate
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Work-related experience is beneficial
  • Fluent in Oral and Written English and Arabic, preferred
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding handling of records and information
  • Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Knowledge of general office operations and equipment use.
  • Excellent human relations and communication skills.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Receive, screen, and route telephone calls and incoming correspondence.
  • Respond to general inquiries.
  • Ability to develop spreadsheets, use databases, and do word processing.
  • Compiles data (e.g., work orders, budget reports, specialized reports, time sheets, personnel records, etc.)
  • Coordinates and completes assigned projects and delivers services in a timely fashion.
  • Maintains various manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g., proper distribution of materials to various departments, arrangements for conferences, meetings, travel requirements, etc.) to complete activities and deliver services promptly.
  • Maintains various manual and electronic documents, files and records (e.g., work orders, timesheets, expense reimbursement requests, etc.) to provide up-to-date information and historical reference following established administrative guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Monitors various activities on behalf of the Principal to achieve goals and meet target dates in compliance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Reconciles account balances for assigned budget categories to maintain accurate account balances.
  • Processes various documents and materials (e.g., time sheets, work orders, requisitions, invoices,etc.) to disseminate information in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Communicates with other employees, departments, administrators, applicants, and the public to provide information and assistance relating to Crestwood High School.
  • Performs such other duties as assigned by the Principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 11 months - Secretary Classification I

EVALUATION: Annual

SALARY: According to the Secretarial Contract

EFFECTIVE DATE: 2024/25 School Year
