Within the UI Stead Family Department of Pediatrics, provide administrative support for the Division of Pediatric Education for the Medical Student Education Program under general supervision of the Clerkship Administrator. This position will perform secretarial work for program, such as composing routine correspondence and maintaining medical student records.

This position will perform secretarial work for program, such as composing routine correspondence and maintaining medical student records.
Duties to include:
- Serves as personal secretary to Clerkship Administrator and program, which includes creating and editing documents, spreadsheets and attending/setting up student didactics.
- Assists in maintaining course websites in ICON for advanced student rotations.
- Maintains student education information located on the Pediatric SharePoint.
- Tracks student, clerkship, and faculty evaluation completion and report issues to the program administrator.
- Provides proctoring support for clerkship examinations, including exam set up, laptops and rooms.
- Maintains resident, fellow, and faculty evaluation database.
- Attends unit, departmental, and Carver College of Medicine meetings with Clerkship Administrator as needed.
- Composes correspondence in response to routine inquiries within established guidelines.
- Set up and coordinate meetings/events including lunch set up as needed for the department or education program.
- Provides occasional front desk secretarial support for Department of Pediatrics Administration.
- Monitors and orders division supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Any combination of related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full-time employment and includes the use of word processing.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrates experience related to healthcare or education program/project management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer software applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and to drive for conflict resolutions in a positive and professional manner.
- Demonstrates experience coordinating or managing a medical education program.
- Knowledgeable of LCME requirements.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Experience planning and/or organizing meetings and group events.
- Experience with Iowa Courses Online (ICON), MAUI, or a similar course management system.
