Provides secretarial support for the central Iowa Care Coordination team. Supports the delivery of departments services to inpatients patients by the successful and timely accomplishment of duties. Contributes to the overall goals of Integrated Care Management.

Responsibilities:
Coordinates transportation arrangements for the UnityPoint Health Des Moines wheelchair van as requested. Manages accurate appointment calendar for the driver with accurate information related to the transportation requested.
Answers phone and responds to questions and requests in a professional customer-friendly manner. Screens calls and answers routine questions in a professional, customer friendly manner. Evaluates and acts upon detailed information obtained from the caller.
Coordinates meetings, reserves conference rooms, attends meetings, maintains attendance records prepares and distributes minutes as requested.
Acts as KRONOS timekeeper for Integrated Care Management Staff.
Processes invoices, maintenance requests check requests according to hospital policy.
Updates and maintains department sharepoint sites as needed.
Coordinates on call schedule for social work and distributes call schedule to appropriate staff.
Coordinates weekend coverage for the Inpatient Care Coordinators and distributes the schedule to appropriate staff.
Prepare various forms of correspondence as directed.
Coordinates ordering and delivery of office supplies and paper goods.
Maintains confidential information and data.
Remains current on operation of office equipment and serves as a resource to others as needed.
Prioritizes, manages and completes multiple tasks within assigned timeframes.
Professionally performs all secretarial duties as requested.
Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer services by striving to exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with typing and basic office procedures training.
Experience: Two years previous secretarial experience, preferably in a health care and/or management setting.
License(s)/Certification(s): None.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology with strong transcription skills. Proficient at operation of a PC, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel. Microsoft Publisher skills preferred.
