Join a vibrant and sophisticated law firm in San Diego as a Litigation Legal Secretary. This full-time role offers a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits, including a 37.5-hour work week (1950 annually). The ideal Litigation Legal Secretary will support 3-5 attorneys, demonstrating heavy litigation skills and comfort with state and federal filings. The Litigation Legal Secretary provides high-level legal support, managing a wide range of technical, document processing, and administrative services. This role requires professionalism, technical savvy, and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the creation, editing, proofreading, and processing of legal documents.
- Maintain both paper and electronic legal files, ensuring documents are organized and up-to-date.
- Handle meeting and travel arrangements, as well as opening new client matters and conducting conflicts searches.
- Manage mail, time entry, billing, expense reimbursements, email, and calendar.
- Produce and process heavy documentation and manage document deliveries.
- Collaborate with administrative support coordinators, paralegals, and other legal support team members.
- Attend team strategy meetings and leverage firm resources effectively.
- Assist with overflow work and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 8+ years of experience, preferably in a large law firm setting.
- Labor & Employment experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and document management systems.
- Knowledge of state and federal court procedures, including e-filings.
- Strong comprehension of legal court documents and procedures.
- Ability to collaborate well in a team and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
