Duty Days: 238 Days
Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Grade: AS05
Qualifications:
College hours, high school diploma or GED
Proficient typing, word processing, and file maintenance skills
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Initiative and good judgment in working with people
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Web 2.0 tools
Expertise in the use of office machines
Experience with budget and general bookkeeping
Ability to follow procedures with minimal supervision
Work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
Successful work experience in a school setting preferred
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Equipment Used:
Personal computer, printer, copier, calculator, scanner
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions. Lifting and moving heavy boxes. Prolonged use of a computer.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare correspondence, reports, agendas, memos, website postings, etc.
- Communicate daily using professional language with schools, patrons, parents, departments, community, and coworkers to provide quality customer service.
- Present an attitude of teamwork and shared responsibility.
- Receive, process, and distribute mail.
- Maintain appointment calendar (s).
- Coordinate communications with department personnel and campus administrators.
- Keep daily and monthly reports up-to-date, record, and distribute.
- Make travel arrangements.
- Maintain filing system (s).
- Maintain financial records and budget for the department.
- Complete purchase orders, pre-approved check requests, employee expense reimbursements, warehouse, and print shop orders.
- Use district adopted software systems including, but not limited to, employee attendance record keeping system, professional learning system, and student management system.
- Prepare materials for Board presentations.
- Prepare publications related to school procedures such as grading handbooks, student handbooks, course catalog and related documents.
- Assist with keeping Superintendent and Communication Department apprised of emergency situations on campuses.
- Prepare agendas and supporting materials for principal meetings and various task force meetings.
- Understand the student transfer process and provide back-up support.
- Perform all other specified duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendents.
