Job Description
The Account Executive is responsible for mid-scale projects and the day-to-day execution of the African American segment marketing activities while providing support to the Senior Directors on the agency’s largest telecom/Mobile account across DRTV, Brand and Digital campaigns for all segments.

Ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with African-American cultural or marketing experience, a “can do” attitude, with both strategic and executional expertise who works well in a high-energy, fast-paced team environment. to develop powerful strategic marketing plans and campaigns concepts for TV/CTV, radio, and all digital platforms under a 360°ree; campaign umbrella. Must love direct response marketing as much as brand work. Able to think and develop briefs/presentations with business acumen and cultural relevance, present ideas and solutions both internally and to the client, and be flexible to client requests. Being both a team player and self-starter are required. We are looking for the right fit, so the level can vary. This is not a 9 to 5 job, but definitely flexible.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day mid-scale projects from inception to completion
  • Knowledge of or eager to learn client’s business, competitors, products, and promotions
  • Ability to research and learn more about the telecom/mobile space
  • Follow through with client requests and funnel project work orders to project managers with deadlines, details and supporting documentation needed to complete task
  • Help in performing online research as needed, work on quarterly competitive analysis
  • Prepare/distribute reports/meeting recaps immediately following client and internal meetings
  • Able to take notes for Account Team/clients as needed
  • Assist account team in day-to-day and administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain and update internal and client Hot Sheet status reports
  • Update client status reports on a weekly basis
  • Update creative decks monthly, manage creative/account team trackers on daily basis
  • Open job numbers, sends invoices, and tracks client Purchase Order payments
  • Organize and manage creative library and team files

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Must work well in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing projects and changing deadlines
  • Self-starter who takes the initiative on tasks and is a problem solver
  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple requests, excellent project mgmt. skills
  • Preferred: Advertising Agency or Marketing Agency experience
  • Strongly Preferred – Knowledge of, and experience with telecom and direct marketing
