Fire alarm technician - American Security Job at American Security Alarm Systems

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team! You will install, repair and inspect fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities:

• Install and program new alarm and security systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarms and security systems
• Complete inspections on fire alarm systems
• Completion of all necessary paperwork associated with service and inspections
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems
• Monitor inventory of service parts
• Take turns in on-call rotation

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with NFPA 72, Florida Fire Prevention Code, and local building codes
• Experience in the fire alarm industry
• Familiarity with low voltage systems
• Previous knowledge of Fire-Lite, Notifier and Silent Knight equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong verbal and written communications skills required
• Organized, motivated, and able to work with minimum supervision
