Currently, the Aloft Raleigh is currently looking for a Lobby Attendant who plays an essential role by ensuring the hotel lobby remains a pristine and inviting space for all guests. The Lobby Attendant will have a friendly demeanor and exceptional customer service skills to create a warm atmosphere, helping to set the tone for an outstanding guest experience. Requirements:Duties/Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome guests as they enter the hotel, providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Ensure the lobby area is clean, organized, and well-presented at all times. This includes dusting, vacuuming, and tidying up furniture and decor.
- Offer guests information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions, helping them with inquiries and recommendations.
- Provide assistance with luggage, directions, and transportation arrangements. Address any special requests or needs guests may have.
- Observe lobby activity to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff, reporting any unusual behavior or incidents to management.
- Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to report any issues or needed repairs in the lobby area.
- Gather guest feedback and relay any concerns or suggestions to management to improve services.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of lobby events or special functions as needed.
- Monitor and replenish lobby supplies, such as brochures, magazines, and refreshments, to ensure they are readily available for guests.
- Support other hotel staff in various tasks as required to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to interact clearly and courteously with guests, staff, and management.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor, with a genuine desire to assist guests and meet their needs.
- Keen eye for cleanliness and organization, ensuring the lobby is always presentable.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining composure and efficiency.
- Ability to address guest inquiries and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Willingness to adjust to changing situations and guest needs, demonstrating flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with hotel management systems and basic office equipment can be beneficial.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and supervisors.
- Adherence to the hotel's dress code and maintaining a neat and professional appearance at all times.
- Reliable and punctual.
Education and Experience:
- High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the hotel's operational needs.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in laundry operations or housekeeping is preferred.
