Job Overview:
The IT Network/Cybersecurity Administrator works with network and software providers to administer and oversee the implementation, organization, and troubleshooting of the network, hardware, and underlying communications protocol, to ensure compliance with government and military requirements including National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and other relevant standards.
Responsibilities and Duties Required:
At the direction of management, work in concert with network and software providers to:
- Configure, monitor, and analyze the networking infrastructure, ensuring optimal function, minimal downtime, and network load, including traffic and utilization trends.
- Maintain computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware, and manage servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers, and their associated operating systems, and software.
- Ensure networks are protected from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data by developing, monitoring, and maintaining security audits and procedures, system backups, implementing disaster recovery procedures, and collaborating with staff.
- Develop, implement and maintain the company's cybersecurity policies and procedures in compliance with U.S. military and federal standards, including NIST and CMMC
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software package deployments, upgrades, existing software, and peripheral devices.
- Implement and monitor network security solutions, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and endpoint protection.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and regular security audits to identify and mitigate risks to sensitive data and systems.
- Resolve, and communicate networking issues to other employees and management.
- Install and configure network equipment.
- Draft checklists, processes, and support trees, technical documentation, manuals, IT policies, and knowledge bases for help desk and other support staff.
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems by performing network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Provision gateways, switches, and other devices for deployment in the company’s telecommunications network.
- Provide technical support for the company’s network and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Analyze, design, and manage implementation of new equipment and topologies.
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
- Maintain network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Lead incident response efforts and ensure proper reporting, analysis, and resolution of cybersecurity applications.
- Manage and report on cybersecurity metrics and compliance with military regulations.
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Strong technical understanding of networking and data protocols, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless local area networks (WLANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), transmission control protocol/internet protocol (TCP/IP), subnetting, domain name system (DNS), and firewalls..
- Working knowledge of U.S. military cybersecurity requirements, including NIST, CMMC and ITAR.
- Hands-on experience with network administration, routing, and switching, including experience with fortnet switch installation/configuration.
- Proficient with Microsoft SQL/Windows Server and Database Administration.
- Familiar with Server Virtualization.
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Prior association with manufacturing company and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent business skills, including strong analytical skills, organizational skills, creative thinking, business writing and communication.
- Ability to work in a multi-task work environment, with constant interruptions and distractions while maintaining and meeting strict deadlines for projects.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational and analytical skills with a basic knowledge of arithmetic required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of restricted or private information and records and effectively handle sensitive matters.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to courteously deal with and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and outside vendors.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Experience working with defense contractors and familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) contracts and compliance requirements
