PingWind is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Engineer Sr to join our dynamic team. As a Cybersecurity Engineer Sr, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing cybersecurity initiatives within our organization. You will be responsible for leading a team of cybersecurity engineers, coordinating their efforts, and ensuring the successful execution of projects aimed at safeguarding our digital assets and infrastructure.
Location: Fort Sam Houston, TX (Local Remote)
Required Clearance: Secret
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
Required Experience: Ten+ (10+) years of relevant experience
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain robust security architectures for the organization's networks, systems, and applications, ensuring they meet industry standards and best practices.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in the organization's infrastructure and recommend remediation measures.
• Monitor security systems, detect security incidents, and respond to security alerts in a timely manner to mitigate risks and minimize impact.
• Lead and participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery, following established incident response procedures.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
• Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of security awareness and best practices.
• Cloud technologies such as enterprise cloud computing (EC2) instances, Simple Service Storage, containers.
Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on security engineering.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, and endpoint security solutions.
• Hands-on experience with network security, encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms.
• Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC certifications are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Required Qualifications:
• ISC2 CISSP or Equivalent
• Ten plus years' experience with DOD or Army hardware/software and applications development, installation, maintenance, operation, and testing efforts.
• Ten plus years' experience in monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and performing corrective actions for Cybersecurity IT systems.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework, vulnerability assessments, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) reporting, and cybersecurity problem resolution.
