The Principal Analyst of External Cyber Risk Defense team will facilitate future state business process design to elaborate the business capabilities needed. Gain business agreement on future state targets. Deliver high level analysis and solution design, translate business requirements into process & system impacts and functional requirements. Build solution options based on research of current and future system capabilities, standard processes, and high-performing companies. The Principal Analyst will facilitate 3rd party vendor security related interactions with business partners, suppliers, and service partners. Integration with the cybersecurity and third-party communities internal to T-Mobile and external with partners such as vendors, government, industry, and other security organizations as vital. This person will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, superb communication skills, and effectively help manage the team's time and effort, projects, and associated initiatives. A solid understanding of security technologies, architecture, and standard processes will be essential to the success of this role. The team maintains the T-Mobile external scorecard, vendor security, and incident responses on vendors. The team reports on third-party risk and works with the Cyber Risk team to provide the external risk landscape. They work with partner teams to ensure security throughout the vendor lifecycle including contract negotiations on security requirements. The team also assists application owners and business unit teams to understand and implement the security aspects of their applications/contracts and advises on the best security practices for new vendors and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Use expert knowledge of processes and systems to support project intake with estimates of impact, high level scope analysis and solution design.
  • Proactively find opportunities for improving enterprise processes end to end, work with business leaders to prioritize business opportunities.
  • Anticipate and champion needed communication to team, key customers and partners. Bring up issues timely, objectively and with sensitivity to team dynamics. Demonstrate concise verbal and written communication that is targeted and appropriate to the needs of the audience.
  • Provide security consultation on designs and/or implementation of security controls ensuring adherence to T-Mobile security standards, best practices and/or regulatory controls.
  • Research, ideate, develop, and promote adherence to improved team and cross functional processes, standards, tools and methods.
  • Lead security projects driven by groups both internal and external to info security.
  • Mentor analysts, senior analysts and across teams in enterprise solution design, SDLC, facilitation and effective customer interaction.
  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science, or Information Technology, relevant experience in lieu of degree might be considered.

Experience:

Required:

  • More than 10 years' total experience with growing responsibility with security related software and/or business process design.
  • 4-7 years' experience with the following: project/team lead, formal implementation SDLC, facilitation of cross functional solution design.
  • 2-4 years' experience in the telecom industry and 3rd Party, Cyber Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or Compliance.

Preferred:

  • Accounting competence a plus. Experience with high level design architecture, firewall, internet, LAN router, network, protocols, web services and understanding of encryption, obfuscation, tokenization technologies, knowledge of federal & compliance regulations.
  • Process modeling experience.

Base Pay Range: $110,800 - $200,000 Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
