Undaunted Consulting is hiring: Associate Cybersecurity Consultant in Nashville
Undaunted Consulting, Nashville, TN, US,
Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Cybersecurity Consultant to help social justice nonprofits identify and mitigate a broad range of security risks, including targeted threats from hostile actors. The ideal candidate will assess technological vulnerabilities, develop actionable plans tailored to nonprofit realities, and help to implement pragmatic solutions. They will be adept at simplifying technical concepts, fostering trust with clients, and providing ongoing support.
Our nonprofit clients have limited resources. They often come from, and work with, vulnerable populations. The people who work with us need to be able to truly empathize with our clients. We envision this person being able to meet with clients, truly hear their concerns, and develop a plan to address them.
The Associate Cybersecurity Consultant will primarily provide support on tech system assessment projects. They will access client systems, help identify vulnerabilities, and contribute to findings and recommendations reports. These projects may also involve ongoing support, training, and testing for clients and staff. Because of the unique threats our clients face, trainings also need to involve preventing doxing, recognizing social engineering, and online vetting of potential volunteers.
We can almost never reuse solutions from one client to the next. Nearly every situation is unique. Thus, while every consultant has a speciality, they must also be fast-learning generalists. Our cybersecurity consultant will need to be able to see threats that fall outside of the purely technological and come up with creative solutions to address them.
This is a remote position for any individual currently living in Texas or Tennessee. We cannot consider applicants who do not live in those states.
THE COMPANY
Undaunted Consulting is an unapologetically progressive consulting firm dedicated to helping nonprofits in the social service, social justice, and environmental justice sectors optimize their technologies for more efficient workflows. Our clients support vulnerable populations, including undocumented immigrants, the unhoused, LGBTQ+ youth, and abortion-seekers. These organizations often operate under intense scrutiny and face significant security risks. Our mission is to empower them through tailored, accessible, and effective technological solutions.
