Nutrition Services Manager
A desirable opportunity exists for a highly accomplished professional to assist in the managing of the community's Care Center Food and Beverage Operations to ensure a quality dining experience. This position works closely with community F&B staff to ensure sanitation and HACCP standards in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
· Works closely with the community's Food and Beverage Operations (F&B) staff to ensure the following: sanitation and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards; compliance with local, state and federal regulations; adherence to the Quality Every Day (QED) Standards in all dining venues, pantries and kitchens in Assisted Living (AL), Memory Support (MS) and Skilled Nursing (SN). · Where applicable, assists in the interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, scheduling, disciplining and terminating of Food and Beverage employees. Trains and assists with the management of Care Center and F&B staff to maintain F&B QED Standards and compliance to regulatory guidelines, as needed. · Interviews newly-admitted residents to introduce F&B Operations, obtain pertinent nutritional information and food preferences. Completes assessments of residents' nutritional status according to policy. In conjunction with Resident Care staff, monitors residents' weight, skin integrity, hydration status, food intake, meal acceptance and compliance to diet. · Considers the referral of residents with significant changes in nutritional status and/or laboratory values for further intervention. · Assures meals and nourishments are checked for accuracy and pantries are stocked appropriately to meet residents' needs. Observes mealtime and dining activities twice daily, offering assistance and supervision when necessary. · Participates in the following: Resident Council meetings, food committee meetings, care plan meetings, and other pertinent meetings in the community. · Participates as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team. · Assists with meal service including event dining such as theme meals, action stations, parties and family gatherings. · Educates staff and resident and/or resident's family on diet and nutrition.

Education and Experience:
- Education: Associate Degree in Nutrition from an approved program or certificate from an approved course for Dietary Managers is required. Bachelor's Degree in nutrition from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years in clinical nutrition is required. Back-of-the-house Food and Beverage Operations experience is preferred.
- Licensure / Certification: State certification in food service sanitation is required. Certified Dietary Manager or Registered Diet Technician is required. Must possess a valid and current driver's license, where applicable.
