Job Summary:

The Site Technician will support our Hydrogen gas production facility. This candidate will be responsible for the installation and servicing of the production, compression, dispensing, transportation, and storage equipment. This candidate will also be responsible for reporting breakdown events, parts ordering, and maintenance of these machines/equipment at a specific location. This position presents a great amount of exposure to customer personnel and electric lift truck operators and thus requires a person with excellent technical skills as well as communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the alternative fuels rollout for a major automotive OEM's new manufacturing facility in the area.
  • Maintenance and service of electromechanical equipment at customer sites.
  • Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain optimum efficiency and uptime of the equipment.
  • Performing specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software and hardware upgrades to existing equipment.
  • Providing on-call and emergency support service to customers as required.
  • May require troubleshooting and maintenance of high-pressure hydrogen systems and/or components, 480VAC, flammable, high-pressure gas fueling, and/or electrical systems.
  • May include maintaining ongoing communication with customer personnel hydrogen suppliers regarding aftermarket support of equipment.
  • Providing regular feedback to management regarding overall site performance and field maintenance issues and activities
  • Completing administrative duties & documentation, including incident reports, service logs, inventory maintenance, and site and system documentation amongst other things.
  • Exhibiting and enforcing safety procedures in the field or customer sites.
  • Travel as required for business needs; expected to drive safely and to adhere to all traffic laws.
  • Always represent OneH2 in a professional manner and in all interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to you by the Corporation, including, but not limited to, being on call 24/7 for all alarms, maintenance, etc.
  • Responsible to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, gain a thorough knowledge of the systems to adequately troubleshoot and identify trend analysis of equipment to achieve as close to 100% up time as possible.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical and mechanical coursework.
  • Electrical or mechanical engineering degrees are a plus.
  • Preferred three (3) or more years of direct/hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, will look at new graduates as well.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly unassisted.
  • Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred.
  • General mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Computer and software systems skills as applicable to the position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels.

**Starting Salary: based on experience & can be discussed during the interview process.

**Must be willing commute to and from Atlanta, Georgia. Traveling within the state will be required as well.

**Must be willing to travel and train in Longview/Hickory, NC, OneH2 headquarters, during the first week/s of employment.
