Job Summary
Hammond & Associates is an established 35+ Year MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, & Fire Protections) consulting engineering firm headquartered in Plantation, Florida, with offices in Atlanta, Orlando, Miami, and Palm Beach. This position is for our Atlanta Office.
Reporting to the company President, we are looking for a MEP Managing Director position with a minimum of 10 years experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical Building Systems Design. A candidate will only be considered for a position that has experience in the field of MEP Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships, ensuring that Hammond is providing best-in-class service, driving established project management practices in a way that ensures project profitability, and developing/retaining a high performance team
Job Responsibilities
As a MEP Managing Director, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding specific revenue, profit goals and company objectives within the assigned market
- Define/refine operational KPIs that drive bottom line growth, drive accountability of performance against metrics
- Provide strategic input to the company leadership team.
- Collaborate with other Managing Directors, sharing knowledge, tools, and resources to cross-sell services and products.
- Work closely with Director of Business Development, supporting direct sales efforts including proposal generation, closing new projects, contract negotiations, and developing and maintaining client relationships
- Build and support a highly engaged and collaborative work environment, by recruiting & retaining qualified technical production and project management staff
- Focus on ensuring technical excellence of project delivery and providing expert resolution of issues
- Maintain clear communications with staff concerning operational practices, goals and objectives, performance, and enterprise awareness
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- 10+ years of experience in the MEP industry is required with a proven track record in both project management and design.
- Highly technical engineering skills with a deep understanding of the field combined with sound business and financial acumen
- Proven ability to build strong client relationships, quickly establish rapport, and gain an understanding of the client's unique challenges.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Broad experience in developing and managing high performance teams with a history of positive employee relations combined with an ability to interact in a positive manner with the entire workforce and all levels of management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to evaluate talent, identify needs, and hire technically proficient staff.
- Ability to create an enriched work environment, motivating staff to reach their highest potential.
- Superior written and verbal communication, listening, and project management skills with ability to adapt, multi-task, and manage multiple priorities.
- Must have at least 5 year of Project Management experience preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) Licenses is required
- Excellent organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
