Rare opportunity for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine physician to join an Academic Hospitalist program in a Philadelphia suburb. If you like the idea of spending the majority of your time working with residents, and enjoying a fantastic work/life balance, this is the job for you!

Practice details include:

• This is almost entirely an Academic position; all the notes, admissions, discharges, etc. are done by residents. You will will make an addendum to their notes, and certainly provide some teaching when doing rounds, but there is no clinic at all.
• This job is a M-F schedule, working 4 hours per day in the hospital. Once you are done, you can go home, as long as you are available for telephone call until 7-8pm.
• Every other week, you will spend 1-2 hours, 3 days per week, at a local nursing home. This will involve you checking on the charting of an NP who has done the history and physicals of their patients.
• Once you have completed the 1-2 hours at the nursing home for the day, you can go home, as long as you are available for telephone call for new admissions.
• You will round in the hospital only every third weekend, and will still be working with residents during that time.
