Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mid-Level to Senior CPA with a strong background in tax to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a driven professional who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities, manage a team of accountants, and help grow the firm's client base. The ideal candidate will have the ambition to eventually lead a division, develop a book of business, and play a key role in shaping the future of McCusker Associates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex individual, business, and trust & estate tax returns.
• Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
• Oversee client accounts, including tax planning, compliance, and advisory services.
• Analyze client financials and provide strategic recommendations to improve performance and achieve goals.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
• Actively seek opportunities to bring in new business and grow your book of business.
• Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide proactive advice.

Qualifications:

• CPA designation required.
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation and advisory services.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring a team.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to grow a book of business.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
