This position is designed to coordinate the movement of rental equipment and services on Messer projects and managing the Managed Equipment Services program. The individual will be actively involved in jobsite visits to work with on-site personnel to strategize, identify, and implement strategies to reduce the total cost of the project. This position will service Indianapolis region and the rental coordinator will be required to reside within those market areas.
What You Will Do:
- Frequent jobsite visits to Messer projects to collaborate with project teams on rental equipment movement, driving efficiencies of the process
- Administer tracking, reporting, billing, movement, and reconciliation of all rental equipment for MES projects.
- Participate in weekly project meetings at MES sites to driving planning of rental equipment movement
- Drive the use of technology to further the efficiency opportunities in communication, record keeping, and billing of MES related transactions
- Establish strategic relationships with project teams and sub-contractors working on our sites and be viewed as a resource provider to all project participants
- Communicate effectively with rental division team to give us the first right of refusal on all rental needs
- Administer all rental division contracts from both internal and external rental equipment
- Support and promote Lean performances and efficiencies of operations at all times
- Support, maintain, and adhere to all safety policies and procedures of the company in everything you do
- Maintain transparency in the program to assure all participants that we are conducting business in a manner that meets the Messer code of business ethics and code of business conduct
- Solicit operations and divisional input into new products and services, new technologies and advancement in methods so we can lead the industry as "Best in Class"
- And all other duties and responsibilities determined by the management of the rental division
What You Will Bring:
- College degree preferred
- Prior Equipment Rental Experience desired
- Self-starter, ability to work effectively with minimal guidance
- Organized and efficient with strong time management skills
- Focus on customer service by "doing what it takes" to serve the customer's needs
- Computer skills including a strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products, tracking and reporting of the movement of equipment, "point of sale" system knowledge that includes the ability to administer contracts, run reports, and review billing for accuracy.
- Advanced knowledge of technology solutions to incorporated in the program to further drive efficiencies
- Knowledge of construction equipment, supplies, and materials
- Possess sales skills to build relationships and create buy-in of project participants. to embrace the program
- Ability to analyze options and arrive at creative solutions to problems
