To contribute to the efficiency for maintaining and documenting student attendance and data entry as relevant to the essential functions and duties of said position
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
ATTENDANCE FUNCTIONS
Ensures the accuracy of daily attendance by guaranteeing that attendance is properly recorded and coded in the Student Information System.
Inputs and maintains required attendance data in student administration management system.
Carefully monitors the enrollment of all students to ensure that the proper Entry Code (E-Code) is applied.
Executes proper withdrawal procedures using well-defined district processes and ensures that the proper Exit Code (T-Code) is applied.
Assists with verifying the legitimacy of "No Shows," whose physical presence could not be documented.
Executes and implements the procedural phases for monitoring district attendance to safeguard against truancy.
Ensures that all 5, 10, & 12 day submissions to the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) are current & consistent with tangible evidence.
Ensures that appropriate paperwork has been accurately completed for ALL unexcused absences to the state.
Assists in the maintenance of student discipline records and ensures that discipline has been properly entered and coded in Student Information System by end of work day.
Assists with ensuring that the coding of discipline in district's Student Information System matches the discipline data that are uploaded in the Mississippi Student Information System (MSIS).
Ensures that the submissions of Out of School Suspensions (OSSs) to the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) are current, accurate, & consistent with tangible evidence and are submitted on the day of occurrence.
Ensures that parents are notified for all Out of School Suspensions.
Ensures that appropriate paperwork has been accurately completed for ALL Out of School Suspensions (OSS) to the state.
Completes daily and monthly attendance reports and prints absentee report; runs and verifies ADA report.
Processes dismissals, releases students after sign out, and readmits students after absences; enters excused absences when students return.
Produces excessive absence reports and notification letters; notifies attendance officers of excessive absences.
Completes and maintains accurate records and reports; compiles and updates a variety of periodic reports and information as deemed pertinent to essential functions
Operates a variety of office equipment including photocopiers, facsimile machines, and computers; inputs and retrieves data and text.
Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
