Position Overview
Charleston Shoe Company is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Office Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth daily operations of the office and providing support to various departments. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to a collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support
- Assist with daily office operations, including answering phones, managing emails, and handling correspondence.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events.
- Maintain and organize office files, records, and documents.
- Office Management
- Ensure office supplies are stocked and reorder as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for office maintenance and repairs.
- Oversee the cleanliness and organization of communal areas, including conference rooms and breakrooms.
- Team Support
- Provide administrative support to various departments as required, such as preparing reports or presentations.
- Customer & Vendor Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for clients and vendors visiting the office.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as an office assistant, administrative assistant, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with office equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in retail or fashion industries is a plus.
- Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Basic bookkeeping or data entry experience.
