Job Summary:

CU Innovations is seeking a talented Administrative Assistant to play a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Director of Business Development and the Patent Manager in advancing our mission of innovation and excellence.
In this dynamic position, you'll be at the heart of CU Innovations' operations, working closely with leaders and colleagues across the CU system. You'll take charge of essential administrative responsibilities, including managing calendars, planning impactful meetings, coordinating email communications, and overseeing critical document preparation and management for both business development initiatives and patent processes.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the Senior Director of Business Development's complex and often-changing calendar, remaining aware of their current priorities and long-term goals so as to schedule meetings in the most effective and productive manner
* Conserve Senior Director of Business Development's time by reading, researching, routing, and drafting correspondence.
* Increase bandwidth of Senior Director of Business Development by anticipating needs and taking ownership of planning, executing, and delegating activities, creating an extra layer of accountability.
* Assist Senior Director of Business Development in maintaining organizational system for all important legal, business related documents and presentations.
* Meet weekly with Senior Director of Business Development to discuss outstanding items, help prepare for upcoming meetings & events, review email correspondence that needs follow-up and take action items.
* Book travel for Senior Director of Business Development in Concur and handle all expense reimbursements.
* With supervision from CU Innovations Patent Manager, manage end-to-end process for all assignments.
* With guidance from the Patent Manager, manage the patent inbox, including sorting all incoming emails, following-up on matters & email categories as assigned by the Patent Manager, and sorting and uploading documents to Sophia database.
This is a part-time position at 15-20 hours per week.
Work Location:
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education (professional experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the educational requirement).
* Experience as an administrative assistant, office manager or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
? Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
? Experience working as an administrative assistant or office manager at CU
? Experience with Intellectual Property docketing

* Demonstrated ability to work independently, under pressure and with a sense of urgency, to manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities, and to deal with changing priorities, while maintaining personal effectiveness.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The hiring rate for this position has been established at $25 / hour. The above salary rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate at the time of posting.
