Spherion is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys with various legal tasks, ensuring that all documentation and case management processes run smoothly. This position requires outstanding organizational skills, an understanding of legal terminology, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
8:30 - 5:00 M-Thur. & 8:30 to 12:00 on Fridays
Houlry Pay Rate:$17.00
Dress is business casual
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner, directing calls to the appropriate parties
Assist in legal case management by organizing and maintaining case files, documents, and evidence.
Support attorneys in preparing for litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Conduct document review to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Transcribe legal documents and correspondence as needed.
Provide executive administrative support by managing schedules, appointments, and communications for attorneys.
Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records within the firm?s database.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information for cases and maintain effective communication throughout the process.
Greet visitors and clients, providing a positive first impression
Maintain office supply inventory and reorder materials as needed
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages
Prepare outgoing mail, courier, and express shipments
Coordinate schedules and make travel arrangements for attorneys as requested
Type and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and other materials
Copy, scan, fax, and file documents as assigned
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:
Proficiency in legal administrative tasks with a excellent understanding of legal terminology and procedures. Litigation experience preferred.

Outstanding clerical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and document management.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Above average communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
