Dock Hand

Job Summary: We are currentlyseeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dock Hand to join our team. As a DockHand, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of ourdock facilities. Your primary duties will include loading and unloadingpassengers, ensuring the proper organization of equipment, and collaboratingwith other team members to maintain a smooth workflow.

Responsibilities:

Loading and Unloading:

Safely load and unload passengers from vehicles, boats,or other transport vehicles.

Use appropriate equipment and follow establishedprocedures to handle equipment efficiently.

Material Organization:

Arrange and organize equipment on the dock to optimizespace and facilitate easy access.

Keep track of inventory levels and report anydiscrepancies to the supervisor.

Equipment Operation:

Operate boats, atvs and other equipment as needed.

Conduct routine checks and maintenance on equipment toensure proper functioning.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain asecure work environment.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow properlifting techniques.

Communication:

Collaborate with team members and communicate effectivelyto ensure a coordinated workflow.

Report any issues, damages, or delays to the supervisorpromptly.

Quality Control:

Inspect incoming and outgoing equipment for damages andensure they meet quality standards.

Participate in periodic inventory checks and assist withrecord-keeping.

Requirements:

Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physicallydemanding tasks.

Comfortable working in various weather conditions.

Attention to Detail:

Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate handlingand organization of materials.

Teamwork:

Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.

Willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to apositive work environment.

Dependability:

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Ability to follow instructions and work independentlywhen required.

Experience:

Prior experience as a dock hand or in a similar role is aplus.

Familiarity with basic dock systems and logisticsoperations.

Working Conditions:

This position may involve exposure to loud noises, movingmachinery, and various weather conditions.

Flexible schedule may be required to accommodateoperational needs.
