We are currently seeking a highly organized Assistant Production Supervisor for one of our clients in the manufacturing industry, located in Tyngsborough, MA. This temp-to-hire position.. This is a 1st shift opportunity!

Position: Production Supervisor
Location: Tyngsborough, MA
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $30 - $32 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
Clerical Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Generate work orders for the production floor using MS Great Plains/Crystal Reports & MS Office.
  • Maintain Bills of Materials.
  • Provide daily status updates of the production schedule to the Production Manager.
  • Act as a liaison between the Quality & Engineering departments when workflow or manufacturing issues occur.
  • Oversee stockroom, raw and semi-raw material inventories.
  • Kit and distribute raw materials.
  • Other duties as directed by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees.
  • Assist with supervising a manufacturing workforce of approximately 40 people.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Clearly define and communicate product workflow and special instructions.
  • Oversee the training of new employees and cross-training of existing personnel.
  • Assist in the hiring process for manufacturing employees.
  • Perform time study analysis to benchmark manufacturing processes and ensure peak levels are maintained.
  • Assist with employee performance reviews by providing the Production Manager with performance data.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • High School Diploma (Associate’s degree or higher is a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory/management role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with a focus on numerical accuracy.
  • Experience maintaining Excel databases and spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).
  • Highly organized with excellent documentation skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Capable of following both written and verbal instructions.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one or group basis.
  • Strong employee issue resolution skills.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
