A Donut Production Assistant works in facilities to assist with the preparation and production of donuts. The role often involves a mix of manual and machine assisted tasks.

Job Summary:
The Donut Production Assistant helps in the preparation and frying of donuts in a fast-paced donuts shop. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety regulations, and the ability to work efficiently within a team to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Dough Preparation:
- Measure and mix ingredients following recipes or instructions from the head baker.
- Operate mixers, dough cutters, and other bakery equipment.
- Ensure the consistency and quality of dough, glazing, and toppings.
Cooking and Frying:
- Operate fryers to cook donuts, ensuring proper cooking time and temperature.
- Monitor the color and texture of donuts, adjusting fryer settings as necessary.
Decoration and Finishing:
- Apply glaze, icing, and other toppings (sprinkles, fillings, etc.) to donuts.
- Maintain uniformity and quality in the final product.
Quality Control:
- Inspect donuts for defects, ensuring all products meet quality standards.
- Discard undercooked or poorly shaped donuts and rework dough as needed.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize all equipment and workstations regularly to maintain food safety standards.
- Assist with the maintenance and minor repair of donut shop machinery.
Inventory Management:
- Assist with monitoring ingredient levels and inform the manager when stock needs replenishing.
- Help with receiving and storing deliveries of raw materials.
Health and Safety:
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling of food and maintaining cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work early morning shifts and stand for long periods.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (training may be provided).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
