We are seeking a dynamic Production Specialist to oversee and ensure the efficient, high-quality production of our materials. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Specialist will take a leadership role in managing production operations, driving quality standards, and fostering a safe, productive work environment. This position will not only focus on the day-to-day operation but also emphasize team coordination, process improvement, and the overall efficiency of production lines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operation and optimization of equipment, ensuring a continuous and efficient production process.
  • Utilize computers, Human Machine Interface (HMI), and control panels to manage equipment, maintaining the flow of materials through production lines.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on materials entering and exiting production processes, adjusting equipment to uphold both quality and productivity standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance metrics, making proactive adjustments and recommendations for improved efficiency and performance.
  • Serve as a communication hub between team members, shift leaders, and management to address any production or quality concerns promptly.
  • Train and mentor production staff, promoting a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is well-maintained and troubleshoot any technical issues as they arise.
  • Lead by example in following all safety regulations, procedures, and company policies, encouraging a culture of accountability and safety in the team.
  • Coordinate daily inspections, document equipment performance, and maintain necessary production records.
  • Assist in process development, proposing changes or enhancements to improve overall productivity and product quality.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to enhance production efficiency.
  • Oversee general maintenance efforts and ensure that production lines meet all regulatory and company standards.


Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with the ability to manage teams and processes effectively.
  • Strong understanding of production equipment, HMI, and control panel operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and oversee quality assurance checks, with knowledge of measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a high-volume production setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including walking, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to guide, motivate, and coach team members.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including day and overnight, as well as overtime as required.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods in a production environment.
  • Regular lifting or moving of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to hot, cold, wet, or humid conditions, with work near moving mechanical parts.
