Company Description: Established in year 2000, Monda Window and Door Systems is a manufacturer located in Corona, NY, specialized in custom-designed window and door products in vinyl and aluminum systems. We have a full line of double hung, slider, casement, awning, hopper, picture, bow/bay and architectural shape windows. We also offer sliding doors, terrace doors, storefronts, entrance doors, shower doors, mirrors, glass railing, etc.

Job Description: As the Production Plant Manager, you will be responsible for managing, directing, and leading plant window production activities in accordance with established manufacturing policies and procedures. Provide leadership to front line supervisors and operators to ensure safety, quality, production efficiencies, and delivery are met. Maintain plant cost effectiveness by coordination of all production departments toward fulfillment of annual goals and standards. Implement window product production schedules, parameters, programs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and monitor compliance and progress.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor the daily production schedule of vinyl and aluminum window products, ensuring the daily schedule is met at the desired levels of quality and delivery standards with optimum efficiency.
  2. Ensure safety standards and values are understood and followed, establishing and facilitating departmental procedures that enhance production and efficiency while supporting safety policies.
  3. Along with staff and Engineering, ensure continuous improvement activities related to both process and quality are active in all production departments.
  4. Supervise the mechanic and coordinate tasks needed to ensure equipment’s optimum performance and minimum downtime (e.g., equipment preventive maintenance, repair logs, spare parts management, etc.).
  5. Initiate and implement procedures/processes to conserve material and eliminate waste.
  6. Periodically review production SOPs to ensure accuracy and efficiency, assisting engineers in developing new SOPs as needed.
  7. With assistance from the Human Resources Dept, ensure that recruitment, hiring, assignment, and termination of personnel align with business demands and corporate policies.
  8. Maintain positive associate relations through fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  9. Evaluate subordinate personnel for management potential and coordinate developmental activities with Human Resources.
  10. Prepare annual manufacturing/production labor information for forecasts and budgets.
  11. Complete and review daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of operating metrics, generating daily production meeting minutes.
  12. Monitor manpower requirements, planning and establishing utilization targets to optimize available manpower and facilities.
  13. Coordinate and monitor compliance with customer and company product specifications and standards to ensure quality product manufacture.
  14. Implement monthly inventory counts, monitoring and maintaining all raw material inventories.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned. Note: The above list is not all inclusive and additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of industrial plant management experience is a MUST.
  2. Must be able to communicate in Mandarin Chinese (speak/read/write).
  3. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of vinyl and aluminum window manufacturing systems and techniques preferred.
  5. Highly developed oral and written communication skills required with all levels of the organization.
  6. Proficient knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices such as Kaizen, 5S, DFT, etc.
  7. Financial and budgeting knowledge, along with knowledge of engineering processes, information technologies, and human resource functions.
  8. Expertise in project management, organization, and efficiency.
  9. Confident and solid leadership skills with high motivational and inspirational abilities.
  10. Solid problem-solving, thinking, and reasoning skills.
  11. Ability to handle responsibility and pressure of meeting deadlines.
  12. Teamworking, attention to detail, self-starter/initiative.
  13. Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
