Washington, D.C., Position Summary
The Marketing Production manager implements and manages all aspects of the marketing, communications and membership division’s marketing planning and production. This includes project intake, scheduling and calendar management, and design and production planning and coordination across digital and print channels. The successful candidate will have strong project management and marketing production experience and skills with the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, clearly and concisely communicate project timelines and deliverables, and build productive relationships with a variety of professionals internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, refine, and maintain production processes for the MCM team and cross-divisional projects. This includes creating and managing the processes, tools, resources and scheduling for membership campaigns, conference promotion, marketing of NAIS programs, products and services, and other marketing and promotional activities.
- Serve as main liaison with various departments to intake and manage the production of marketing and collateral materials including tasks associated with editorial reviews and approvals, design, printing/publishing, packaging, shipments, asset management, inventory and storage, and other production related tasks.
- Ensure all materials adhere to organizational brand standards.
- Manage department production budget, monitoring costs and reconciliation of expenses to inform quarterly reviews.
- Produce and manage department-wide calendar that incorporates all external facing communications and marketing initiatives.
- Oversee the collection of department performance data including marketing results, membership data, member success metrics, and registration and sales data across platforms and create and distribute monthly dashboard.
- Manage relationships with external print houses, designers, agencies and other vendors in the bidding, procurement and production of marketing assets and collateral.
- Reports to the Director of Marketing, and assists with the creation of plans, presentations, campaigns and marketing activities as needed.
- Supports the Director of Digital Marketing in updating web content in the CMS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a similar field.
- PMP or similar certification highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years of applicable experience, ideally in an association or non-profit setting.
- Strong marketing, communications, project management and production skills.
- Advanced knowledge in project management software tools such as ClickUp, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project or similar tools.
- Knowledge and practical experience with marketing operations and digital marketing tools, databases, CRM and CMS systems and related software. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized, versatile, and analytical.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, able to work cooperatively and effectively with different personality types as well as other departments, vendors and clients.
- The ability to prioritize tasks, and transition seamlessly among projects of varying scale, audience, format and distribution channel.
- Demonstrated experience with project-management tools such as ClickUp, Asana, Basecamp, or similar.
