Overview
The Production Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the manufacturing process and ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate production workflows to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Manage and supervise the production team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Implement and oversee the use of production equipment, ensuring maintenance and safe operation.
  • Develop and maintain production processes to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Monitor production metrics, such as yield, cycle time, and downtime, to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in the production environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to meet production goals.
  • Manage inventory levels to support production schedules while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Resolve production issues and address any production-related problems that may arise.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to drive operational efficiency.
  • Oversee quality control measures to maintain high product standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of production budgets and cost control measures.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and lean manufacturing practices within the production environment.
  • Prepare production reports and communicate production status to management.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field; a relevant Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and best practices to drive operational excellence.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and production planning software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements in a production setting.
  • Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving process improvements.
