JOB SUMMARY

Precision Science, Inc (based in Phoenix, Arizona) is seeking a highly driven individual to join our growing company in the capacity of Production Supervisor. Precision Science is a leader in the manufacturing of FDA regulated pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals as well as EPA products in the animal healthcare industry. As the Production Supervisor, you would be responsible for overseeing FDA/EPA compliant manufacturing.
  • This is an on the floor role, working side by side with the production staff
  • 90% floor work and 10% desk work
  • Standing long periods of time during the shift

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensure steady flow of production activities and production of high-quality products at the correct quantity and sku
  • Ensure optimal machine utilization
  • Implement the production scheduling, production control, inventory control and output for the shift or location
  • Motivate and develop a cohesive production team
  • Ensure a smooth transition of work and communication between shifts
  • Initiate, recommend, investigate, trouble-shoot and provide solutions and actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the products, process and quality system
  • Lead a team of technicians and operators, which may include working on a production line, to meet production goals
  • Assist the sales and quality teams in the development of new products.
  • Responsible for the production team's discipline, attendance, safety, training and shift staffing per production schedules
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Manufacturing environment, including experience in a supervisory role
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles and demonstrated results
  • Experience with extruders and packaging equipment
  • Experience within a metrics driven organization
  • Strong process control experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, teambuilding, and oral/written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Knowledge of SDS, HACCP and GMPs
  • Knowledge of working with regulatory agencies (e.g. OSHA, AIB, FDA, EPA)
  • Experience in safety administration
  • Has demonstrated good leadership skills. Ability to direct a diverse work force
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work evenings, night shifts, weekends, and holidays
