Job Title: Production Supervisor
Reports to: Production Manager
Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring efficient and safe work processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee production activities to meet production schedules, ensuring timely and efficient production of products.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Lead, mentor, and train production staff, providing guidance and feedback to improve performance and meet company goals.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards, conducting inspections as necessary and coordinating with the Quality department.
- Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identify and address issues that arise during the production process, resolving technical or operational problems to minimize downtime.
- Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase cost-efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, to optimize production workflow.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to production staff, helping them improve their skills and productivity.
- Develop and maintain labor schedules to ensure adequate staffing for each shift.
- Coordinate production activities to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.
- Monitor labor efficiency and adjust staffing levels based on production needs or demand fluctuations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and respect.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, addressing any violations or misconduct.

- High School diploma or equivalent experience; post-secondary degree preferred.
- Proficient in both English and Spanish to assist with employee relations, provide training, and support a diverse workforce.
- Food Production or Manufacturing experience.
- Basic understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Problem-solving abilities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment, including loud noises, equipment operation, and changing temperatures.
- Must be able to work on the production floor, including standing or moving for extended periods.
- Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment, and following approved chemical handling procedures.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Must be available for shift work, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Works in an office and manufacturing environment.
