We are looking to fill a 1st shift position in our Planning Department. Below are the preferred skills, duties, and responsibilities you will have performing as our Production Planner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•Availability to work 1st shift
•Required: High School/GED diploma or vocational school equivalent
•Preferred: Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.
•Preferred: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Management, or related field
•Preferred: 2 years' experience in related field
•Preferred: Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
•Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
•Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
•Proficient on Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel
•Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
•Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
•Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
•Experience with Infor or another ERP System
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
•Plans and establishes production orders for a wide variety of manufacturing departments involving diversified piece parts, assemblies, or tooling to conform with master production schedules.
•Ensures proper allocation to work center, load, capacity, and efficient utilization of equipment to include forecast planning.
•Monitors and tracks material inventories, production progress, and other factors that affect schedules.
•Modifies and adapts production orders and schedules; issues order changes to accommodate revisions, cancellations, or priorities.
•Interfaces with all appropriate departments/staff in schedule creation, progress updates, problem analysis, and corrective action recommendations.
•Prepares all required reports, paperwork, and correspondence.
•Develops Job Packets in alignment with Production needs.
•Updates production orders to report status.
•Monitors and updates production material safety stock, reorder points, minimum/maximum production amount.
•Works with other departments to monitor and update Bill of Materials and Routings for production material.
•Assists Purchasing with prioritization of order placement.
•Ensure all packets have proper corresponding documentation per the schedule and that the packet is given out to the proper departments.
•Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
•On-going communication with all departmental personnel to ensure a common understanding of production packets and the schedule.
•Ensure all packets are made and presented 2 weeks prior to the scheduled start date determined by scheduling.
•Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
