Position Overview: Sinclair & Rush, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing facility and drive operational excellence in the plastics industry. This leadership role will oversee all aspects of production, from process optimization to team management, ensuring high-quality standards, efficiency, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the plant including production, maintenance, finishing, scheduling, and staffing.
- Lead, mentor, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the production process to ensure the manufacturing of products meets customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and other process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Control, Sales, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless operations.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and proactively address potential disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Monitor equipment and machinery to ensure proper maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and coordinate repairs.
- Report on production KPIs, providing regular updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a production or plant management role, preferably within the plastics manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, vinyl dip molding, or thermoforming.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to maintain a safe working environment.
