Role Description: As a Production Supervisor, you must have at least 10+ years of experience. This job description outlines a comprehensive role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the production flow within a factory, emphasizing leadership, communication, and technical expertise.
In this role, you will need to manage a large team, ensure quality and safety standards, and drive continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of 30-40 employees, including hiring, training, and conducting annual evaluations.
- Production Oversight: Plan, schedule, and execute production activities to meet quality and efficiency goals. Oversee CNC, assembly, and warehouse operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on eliminating defects through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to prevent and resolve production issues.
- Reporting: Monitor and report production metrics, including daily/weekly KPI tracking.
- Safety Management: Ensure compliance with EH&S practices and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively to support production needs and manage factory equipment and assets.
- Process Implementation: Oversee the implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment, ensuring product functionality, quality, and cost-efficiency.
Required Competencies:
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of machining, assembly, testing, coatings, and quality control processes.
- Lean Manufacturing: Proficient in Lean methodologies, including TPM, 5S, and visual factory concepts.
- Project Management: Intermediate project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Safety Compliance: Advanced knowledge of EH&S and OSHA requirements.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with manufacturing and machining equipment, as well as building mechanical and electrical systems.
- Leadership: Proven leadership experience, with a focus on creating a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with strong presentation and organizational skills.
- Automation Experience: Experience with automation processes is preferred
Education: BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology
Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience preferred
Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
