Job Title: Production Lead
Location: Fresno, CA
Shift: Day Shift
Work Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Start times may vary, up to 2:00 AM)
Workdays: Monday – Friday (Overtime required as needed)
Hourly Rate: $24.00
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Production Lead to oversee and coordinate production activities in a dynamic food production environment. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure team efficiency, maintain quality standards, and meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of production workers, assigning tasks, and providing feedback to enhance performance.
- Monitor and report line performance to the Supervisor.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
- Review and manage production schedules to meet deadlines.
- Track production metrics, including output, efficiency, and scrap rates.
- Enforce employee safety and food safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and PPE requirements.
- Train and develop assigned production staff.
- Collaborate effectively with Supervisors and other departments.
- Analyze situations, gather information, and make informed decisions or escalate them as necessary.
- Maintain high standards of quality control and enforce related policies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of production or quality-related experience.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent math skills.
- Experience leading a team or crew.
- Knowledge of production metrics and processes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Detail-oriented and goal-driven.
- Comfortable working in a food production environment with allergens (e.g., soy, peanuts).
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Dependable, reliable, and willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
