illumynt is also engaged in the business of wholesale distribution of technology equipment including computers, computer components and peripherals, networking and telecommunications hardware and other electronic products. We obtain supply on consignment and through direct purchase from end users, large manufacturers (OEMs) and distributers who find themselves with excess inventory. We re-sell those products to end users, other OEMs, distributers, resellers, and brokers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

The Production Lead (2nd Shift)plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing production operations proficiency in 2 primary zones with ability for coverage in all zones. Responsible for training all production line workers in all primary zones (Prescreen, Primary Production Line, Quality Control/Finished Goods, Archon) and secondary zones (Secondary Production Line, Defoam) by ensuring that team members are well-trained, processes are optimized, and safety standards are consistently upheld. With expertise across key production zones, the Production Lead provides cross-functional support to maintain seamless workflows and high-quality output. This role also collaborates closely with the Production Supervisor, stepping into a supervisory role when needed to drive operational success.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Actively manages customized inventory control systems.
  • Prevent discrepancies by following established process.
  • Maintain Work Orders, Grade Logs, Discrepancy Ledgers
  • Update Archon by scanning and locating pallets to maintain accuracy and visibility for all work in process Scan/locate pallets into slots as moved in/out of work cells.
  • Cycle counts of product as moved in/out of work cells (make corrections if necessary)
  • Manages production levels & inventory flow through assigned production zones by work order
  • Ensure material is delivered into a work cell in a manner that reduces the pause between a job being closed, and the new product being delivered for work by the Production Operators.
  • Ensure all cycles are being achieved in YEC work zones and informs supervisor if not.
  • Ensure Quotas are being hit assigned all zones and informs supervisor if not.
  • Ensure that all equipment is working to its fullest and informs supervisor if not.
  • Create and release Jobs to their zones in a timely manner for minimal interruption of operator activities.
  • Communicates with previous shift operators and supervisors to exchange information on process conditions and other pertinent issues.
  • Liaise with Production Planner for implementation of work orders and/or work order changes.
  • Accomplish department objectives by communicating and training employees on processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists department supervisor with employee productivity techniques and reporting.
  • Ensure production operators are performing at maximum capability while regularly identifying methods of improving production processes with operator and Supervisors.
  • Identify high performers for eligibility for additional training and/or cross training in other zones.
  • Train/educate incoming Production Operators on established production processes in one or more zones and ensuring proper performance.
  • Monitor computer hardware and machinery to insure minimum faults and/or down time.
  • Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
  • Maintain a log of all machinery faults and repairs required.
  • Maintain and track computer hardware inventory levels.
  • Informs supervision of any unusual changes in process conditions, mechanical or electrical failures or malfunctions, etc.
  • Work directly with operators, engineering designers or other technical support personnel as needed.
  • Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology.
  • Assumes daily responsibilities as a Production Operator when needed.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support as required and assigned.


Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • High School diploma and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual is a plus; not required.


Preferred:

  • Experience leading teams or projects strongly desired.
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Lean manufacturing and continual process improvement experience.


Abilities Required:

  • This position requires great attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be capable of being trained to operate a forklift and pay loader.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with dust exposure, hot work area in summer.
  • Must be able to wearrequiredESD clothing and accessories.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
  • Must meet the physical requirements including, butnot limited to lifting up-to 55-pound boxes, walking, standing, sitting,climbing stairs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to work with others collaboratively.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
